Just as there has been a resurgence in vinyl records, so to, a resurgence in interest for analogue cameras, both 35mm and 120mm medium format. (not to mention Super 8mm).
What is driving this resurgence in general, I have no idea, but for me it’s the challenge to produce images that are just as satisfying visually.
When you have just 24 or 36 images in your camera and no way to view the results immediately, there is a certain amount of extra thought, care and consideration of the composition that causes one to contemplate the rationale for the scene.
I’m enjoying the resurgence and hope that it gains further momentum.
